Fantastic location on the cliff, very good beds, charming decoration of all rooms, friendly staff.

Price was at the high end, maybe slightly overpriced. Arcos de la Frontera is nice to visit, but we wouldn't recommend staying there for more than one day. Town is rather small and quite 'touristy'. High prices, no good restaurants.

The view from the bedroom was fantastic and relaxingly peaceful. A lovely clean and bright room with loads of character and adequate facilities. The rest of the hotel was clean and tidy with a library, a computer room and wi-fi was available in the reception/library/dining room areas but not in the bedrooms. A rooftop patio area gave breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and far beyond. The owner was very helpful and friendly, giving us advice on places to eat in the town. A wonderful breakfast was awaiting us in the morning made up of fresh melon, freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt and muesli (or cornflakes) with warm bread rolls and local marmalade, a light almond biscuit finished off with coffee and warm milk. A highly recommended experience in a lovely little pueblo blanco.

View from small terrace was spectacular.

A bit further of a walk from parking that we expected but not impossible. Not for the out of shape or handicapped.

The staff is marvelous!! La Casa Grande is perched on the edge of the cliff-and I do mean the edge! You can open your window and see for miles plus the farm land at the bottom of the mountain. The view is fabulous and you get a real feeling of Spain. The roof top patio and center courtyard are for your enjoyment. We ate a delicious and bountiful breakfast there every morning during our four day visit. And best of all on our last day we were too tired to go out to eat so the owner prepared a variety of tapas and served them in the interior courtyard. It was the perfect ending to a delightful stay.

The rooms are a little small by usa standards; however, we did not see that as a negative. It's just part of the flavor of the building.

Very convenient location in the old center of Arcos. Cozy and clean rooms with breathtaking views. Good breakfast. Would definitely like to stay there again. Owner and staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

Beautiful place, welcomed with a glass of wine and snack. Great location with amazing views!

    I couldn't stay longer :(

The view from the bedroom was great and the balcony was lovely to sit in the sun. I thought it was very expensive for what we had. The luxury Paradour near by was not much more money and you could park near to it. This hostel had no parking and we had to drag cases a long way. Directions with advice was sent much too late - we had already left for the holiday and received the information on our return. Breakfast at 9 euros each was vastly overpriced as a meal in the evening was 8.50 euros for 3 courses.

Information about parking away from the hotel arrived after we had left. All information should be sent at the time of booking then we could have known more about the location and its difficulties. Breakfast should be included and the price lowered considerably.

We felt like honoured guests in the very beautifully and authentically restored Casa Grande – magnificent views over the valley from our room and the rooftop terrace. Highly recommended.

Interesting, well located older hotel with magnificent valley view from our room. We had a very large, comfortably furnished room with unique design and very high beam ceiling. Shower good size, sink area a bit small, but adequate and separate enclosure for the toilet. No bidet. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom and lots of hot water. Staff very friendly and hospitable. They offer spa services of massage, etc., and also offer a breakfast for additional cost. We ate at a close by outdoor cafe. When you arrive, they serve you a nice class of dry sherry. Nice welcome after some harrowing driving to find the hotel and a parking spot. There is also a large library with seating and lots of interesting books to browse. Some nice artwork on the walls. Furniture a bit older looking, but works with the whole feeling of the place. Would return if in Arcos again.

The room was great as was the view. However the problems caused by the location virtually negated the good points.

The hotel is situated in the centre of town along very narrow alleyways. After 3 attempt to get to it using gps I gave up and phoned the hotel and was told "you can't drive to the hotel, you must park and walk to it!"

This we wrote in the visitors book after staying two very good nights in La Casa Granda: "It had made a big impression on all our senses to stay here in your house. The silence that is only broken by the swallous quick movement through the air and the coq in the mornings. the relaxing bodies at the morning tables; the taste of good cofee, "The love" that is planted in the small candle lights; the flowers, the pictures; the way the books lie in our room. The feeling of the old soul in this house; and not to forget the key to our room". We got a very personal contact with the owner from the beginning of our stay, she served a little glass of sherry and some olives and the house is a very interesting meeting. We will absolutely come back.

The entire experience at La Casa Grande was wonderful. We were pleasantly greeted by the beautiful owner and offered to sit down in the her esthetically pleasing Spanish courtyard and drink complimentary port while checking in. The light filtering in the courtyard is beautiful and please treat yourself to their extensive breakfast offering. It was such a wonderful treat and we both really enjoyed lingering there in the courtyard. The breakfast is very fresh and the coffee is amazing. It's a peaceful retreat with nicely appointed rooms, each with it's own private balcony. There's also a lovely huge terrace on the roof with an amazing view. All of the ladies that worked there, both at the front desk and in the service area were really pleasant and lovely. My boyfriend proposed to me in our room overlooking the beautiful valley below. It could not have been a more perfect place.

A unique experience - a very interesting house in the old town literally on the edge of the cliff The surrounding "streets" are very narrow and demand skilful driving. Don't miss the drop off point - its 15 minutes to go round again! Wonderful hospitality and personal service.

Not for you if you have the slightest tendency to vertigo

An utterly beautiful place with a wonderful hostess. The hotel is quite unique, I would say it's the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.

There is nothing negative to say about this place.

What a cool place! The view is amazing. When we arrived we were given sherry and olives and we went to watch the sunset on the rooftop deck before even checking in. Very clean and nice with an amazing breakfast (additional charge, but totally worth it. Come hungry!). The room is really cool with doors that open to a great view.

The AC didn't work that well as it got pretty hot at night so I would have hated to be there in mid-Summer. We were there in September. A little weird not having a door on the bathroom too.
